Adah Sharma's big screen return with 'Phhir' on Friday, August 12, is even more impressive than her 2010 debut in Vikram Bhatt's 1920.
Adah's portrayal of Disha, a troubled girl with extra sensory perception, has received nods from moviegoers and critics alike.
"Adah Sharma essays the interesting role of a clairvoyant with fervor. In fact, her portions are the best in the movie," says critic Taran Adarsh.
"Her fine acting skills make the character interesting. Rajneesh and Adah share interesting onscreen chemistry," says the reviewer for Rediff.
As in 1920, some of the credit for Adah's convincing portrayal must go to the engaging plot, slick direction (Girish Dhamija), fluid screenplay and an outstanding performance by her co-star Rajneesh Duggal.
Adah's standout performance in her two films so far is matched by a well cultivated image reminiscent of yesteryear talent powerhouses like Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh and Tanuja.
She exudes endearing old world characterized by modesty and histrionic talent.
